"Absolute Heaven-what a hotel and great service!"
Stayed her on Saturday just gone, we got a free upgrade because it was our wedding anniversary. From the minute we entered the hotel till we left, the service was excellent and the staff were more than happy to help with anything and very polite. Was really nice feeling to be treated like royalty. The castle itself is beautiful and the grounds are also amazing. The faculties are great with a pool, jacuzzi, and steam room. A fine golf course also. Restaurant was charming and service was out of this world. Receptionists were very nice and allowed us to check out late.

"Best hotel I have ever stayed in"
I have stayed in many hotels that strive to be Dromoland but none have come close. the experience felt so special from the moment we drove up the driveway, which goes through the golf course, past the lake and clubhouse and on to the spectacular entrance. We were greeted immediately with genuine warmth which is often rare in hotels of this class.

"Simply the best"
Once again Dromoland proved to be the benchmark against which we measure any other hotel we visit. The location, atmosphere, food and outdoors activities are all wonderful. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Our kids can roam about in complete safety. Meals are always an occasion to remember. Cannot wait for our next visit. A treat every time.

"Fantastic, As Usual."
I revisited the castle with my 2 sons for the first time in 6 years & had a great night. Mark Nolan & his team run one of the most professional hotel operations I have seen in my travels all around the globe. this is a true 5 Star hotel set in beautiful grounds with genuine old world atmosphere & tradition. A must for anyone visiting the west coast of Ireland & willing to pay for quality.

"A Class Act"
This Hotel is a class act. It is a beautiful castle with amazing grounds. They have many things to do like falconry, golf, archery, clay shooting and there is a great spa which I indulged in. The food is great and the fine dining was spectacular. I’d love to return.

"Fantastic, Luxurious."
While traveling in Ireland, this was definitely one of our favorites. The castle is just charming beyond belief. Old world, over the top luxury at every level. The grounds are more like a national park than a ultra-luxurious hotel. The rooms were quite nice, the staff really really accommodating and friendly. We had never enjoyed afternoon tea before....but after "having tea" here with our young teens, we will definitely be enjoying afternoon tea more often-our kids still talk and smile about it months after our trip.

"Took My Breath Away.."
Picture perfect! Easy to find using our map. Wonderful staff at the front desk and throughout the hotel. Unexpected upgrade to a suite made the whole trip! Couldn't believe the room and its grandeur. The grounds were amazing, the geese were huge, and the garden, although bare, was enchanting. Breakfast was fit for a king and more than plentiful. I would stay here again and again and I would recommend this to anyone who thinks about it.

Beautiful hotel! Lovely rooms, grounds, service.
Take a walk or golf cart, even horse and buggy ride through the estate.
Spa is wonderful. We were greeted by the entire castle staff outside along with
the horses and hounds! What a great experience.

"What a way to begin"
Dromoland was our first stop in Ireland...and what a stop! Great grounds, picturesque location, clean and spacious accommodations with a very friendly and helpful staff. The Earl restaurant for dinner and breakfast added to the fantastic experience. Dromoland is a short cab ride to 'NewMarket-on-Fergus' pubs: O'Neil's pub and Hunters Lodge. No question about the 5 star rating.

"Amazing!"
We stayed here for part of our honeymoon trip. All I can say was that we were treated like royalty, my new wife enjoyed the fancy dinner in the Earl restaurant. She said it was the best time of her life. John the guy who helped us with our luggage was great. The front desk upgraded our room because when we arrived our other room wasn't ready. So we got to stay up in the tower rooms which made my wife even happier. The grounds to walk around were amazing as well

Dromoland Castle was exactly as advertised and expected - maybe better. You simply cannot describe the charm of a true castle setting. If you are looking for people to wait on you hand and foot and to be entertained a la Disney, this is not the property for you. If you are looking for relaxation and a quiet time, this is your property! We availed ourselves of most of the amenities offered; archery, skeet shooting, falconry, spa, fitness center, etc. and could not have been happier

"Unforgettable"
have been blessed to have the opportunity to stay at many fine hotels in my life. I would rank Dromoland Castle as the finest hotel I have ever stayed. The Golf Course was in incredible shape, the Falconry tour was an unforgettable experience, and the Castle itself was luxurious. The service was top notch.

“A genuine 5 star experience - up there with the best”
Stayed
recently whilst attending a wedding in nearby Bunratty. Decided to
treat ourselves and make the most of being child free for the night -
absolute heaven!!
Had afternoon tea in the bar, prompt service and
superb pastries in particular. Breakfast was just great - unrushed and
elegant - the ideal start to the day.
We'll have to come up with another excuse to offload the kids again soon!

"Fantastic Hotel with great facilities for Children"
Having
just returned from a 2 day stay at Dromoland I was looking forward to writing
this review. We had interconnecting rooms in the new Moriarty Wing - they were
huge and had lovely, spacious marble bathrooms. Since our last stay in the hotel
(almost 15 years ago) they have really developed the on-site children's
facilities - with rowing and fishing on the lake, children's go karts on the
tennis courts, bicycles, renting a golf buggy to view the whole estate and golf
course, games room and of course swimming in the indoor pool, the children were
never bored. All in all a very good mid-term break - we are already planning a
return later in year.
Amazing Experience
Overall, it was the best part of our Ireland trip and we'll definitely be back!

"Luxury and Something for all the family!"
It was a magical short holiday. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Offer included Our children were very well treated. Coloring books and pencils on check in, go carts, swimming, falconry, archery, tennis, rowing on the lake, feeding the ducks, riding in the golf carts, air hockey. They loved every minute. The woodland and grounds were well kept and full of wildlife - we saw two red squirrels and lots of unusual birds. We will be back again.

"Stunning"
Stunning hotel in a beautiful location. Massive bedroom and en-suite with a great big bathtub. Our dinner was excellent, and I would rank the restaurant as one of the top 10 in Ireland. Spa was good but the ambience within the spa was not quite there - although the chairs in the relaxation room were awesome. Could also do with a swimming pool. Be sure to take some bread from the breakfast buffet for the ducks, and take a rowing boat out onto the lake for stunning views of the castle. Also a walk around the grounds and walled gardens is highly recommended.

"Felt like a princess"
my sister and I stayed one night at Dromoland Castle on our last day in Ireland - a true treat! Beautiful sunny day made it even better! We enjoyed the grounds more than anything - borrowing the free bycicles, we biked the whole grounds twice. amazing views, very relaxing, watched the sun set sitting on the dock, watching the ducks. We truly felt at peace, like princesses. Thought the service was fine, although little choice in places to eat but the in-house dining room... unless you drive to town (we ordered room service). A bit pricey but a great treat.

Exceptional castle experience without the hefty bill one would expect.
The service was impeccable and courteous. The accommodations were elegant without being stuffy.

Fabulous hotel, definitely for a special occasion!!
Dromoland is absolutely amazing, the hotel is just fabulous. A truly a five star experience. The staffs are just amazing, looking after your very need; turn down service, chocolates in the room, newspaper in the morning, breakfast in bed. The list just goes on and on. There is plenty to do there, for couple and families alike. If you're into a spa weekend with luxury then this is the place for you. If you're on a budget there is also plenty to do. I would definitely recommend spending the 25 Euro for the golf buggies to explore the estate, brilliant fun. A boat trip on the lake is not to be missed either.
Wonderful time
My husband, son and I spent three nights at the hotel in August. The weather was not great, but we still had a fabulous time. The staff is warm and welcoming and service is very personal. We did not have a single negative experience. The food was excellent (incredible pastry chef). The gardens are truly magnificent with both park like settings and vistas and a beautiful walled garden with flowers and fruit trees. We took a boat out fishing on the lake in the pouring rain for a couple of hours. The fish were literally jumping out of the water all around us but unfortunately, none of them decided to bite our hooks. Afterwards we went for a swim in the indoor swimming pool. There is also a beautiful gold course and a driving range and bike rentals. There are wild pheasants and other birds running around all over the place. We were surprised that nearly all the activities were complimentary to guests and it was only for things like falconry that you had to pay. We truly had a great time and the staff worked hard to ensure every body was well looked after.

We stayed here on my birthday and it was a combination birthday/25th anniversary present to ourselves. We were not disappointed in any way. Briefly - the staff was outstanding, the food was the best we had on our whole vacation, the wine selection was great, and the service was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. The grounds were great to stroll, the castle is well taken care of and, if we didn't know better, we felt that we were living in the days when the castle was built. The fact that we had a room at the top of the tower just made it even more special. We have never experienced this kind of ambiance in any of our resort or hotel stays. It is not cheap by any means but you definitely get what you pay for. If we had the opportunity to do it over we would. Some friends of ours from England joined us for the stay and they would readily agree with my assessment. We really did feel like royalty for a day!
Beautiful facility & grounds; unbelievable staff!!!!!!!
The accommodations of this facility are truly incomparable to anything else we experienced during our entire trip. The grounds are exceptionally well kept, and the castle itself is unbelievably gorgeous. The staff is most accommodating, and goes the extra mile to ensure each guest is comfortable and well pleased.
The food was exceptional & prepared to specifications. Service of the wait staff left nothing to be desired. A truly once in a life time experience.
I hope to begin my next trip to Ireland at Dromoland Castle.
Magical place - wonderful location to get away from it all
The minute you drive through the gates, you enter another world, a great location to totally switch off and relax. We stayed for 3 nights and have to say we didn't want to leave. The location is picture perfect, with the views of the lakes and wonderful walks around the surrounding parkland.
The service was excellent and staff were friendly and welcoming.
You are spoilt for choice with the breakfast and the meal we had one evening in the dining room was delicious.
There wasn't one part of the stay that we didn't enjoy and we would highly recommend staying here. We hope to be back sometime soon.
