"Beautiful Castle Hotel"
We recently stayed for three nights in a gorgeous state room. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and overlooked the estate grounds. The state room was well worth the extra cost. We dined in The Earl of Thomond restaurant and the food was amazing - try the souffle for dessert (well worth the 15 minute wait). The spa is outstanding - the relaxation room truly relaxing. Besides the spa in the castle portion of the hotel, there is also a full gym, swimming pool and restaurant in another building on the grounds. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. This was our first stay at Dromoland but we will definitely return.

"A great place to stay"
This is an excellent place to stay. Great food, excellent wine cellar and fun golf course. The grounds and surrounding communities make this a great hub to travel from. If you old style luxury with modern conveniences, this is a great place to stay.

"Magic and Memorable"
In our recent trip to Ireland, we had the sincere pleasure of spending a night at Dromoland Castle. It was truly magical in every sense of the word. From the castle, to the beautiful manicured landscaping, to the fantastic food, it all added up to everything a castle experience should be. The room we had was beautifully appointed and the staff was exec[tionally helpful in every way possible. Dromoland Castle deserves five stars!

Lifetime experience
Meets all expectations of castle experience. Large room and bath. Beautiful grounds with unbelievable golf course (make reservations ahead). Take the tour with Shawn and his horse to see the grounds & get history lesson of castle & Ireland. They arranged car for tours and short trip to Shannon Airport. Really felt became part of history along with royal treatment.

“Amazing property, Amazing staff”.
Wow! I can't say enough good things about this property! Impeccably appointed, very large rooms with huge en suite. We stayed in one of the towers (Room 403) so request this if you can for even more privacy and the feel of being taken back in time. No elevators, so get fit before you arrive! The breakfast was excellent and the waitstaff as all service staff was most curteous and extremely helpful. Take a ride in the horse drawn carriage hear the cabbie tell the story of Lord Thomond and the O'Briens. I strongly recommend the "casual" dining and fare of the Fig Tree Restaurant, over the more stuffy formal dining at the Castle. Overall, an exceptional hotel experience.

“Lovely”
“We had a amazing time here at Dromoland. They upgraded us as it was my birthday to a tower room. A lot of stairs but so worth it! Great service, adorable pub at night for drinks but expensive for cocktails. We did find out it is best to make reservations for dinner at golf resort restaurant and for free bikes as a lot of events go on. We also ate dinner in the gallery a less expensive choice but so charming. Loved it. They left a card and chocolates for my birthday when I arrived so thoughtful!” August 14th 2012.
“Stunning Castle hotel”.
We stayed at Dromoland for only one night of our honeymoon trip but it was awesome! We rented a golf cart and toured the beautiful grounds. We also did a day excursion to Bunratty Castle on the way to Dromoland. We ended up ordering room service and watching the sunset. It is beautiful. The food was delicious too. I ordered the crab claws, cheeses, mashed potatoes, risotto...just decadent and delicious! We were upgraded upon arrival for our honeymoon and we got to stay in a private section, our room was in one of the towers! We also were surprised with complimentary chocolates in our room! The dwelling is very expansive! We had drinks in the charming cocktail bar and at the golf clubhouse. We also walked through the garden. There was a wedding going on in the garden and in their event room that looked beautiful. If you want to feel like a King and Queen this hotel will fulfill your fantasy! August 12th 2012.
“The best of everything”.
“This castle/hotel is everything people say it is. The grounds and rooms were absolutely beautiful, they were nice enough to upgrade my family of 4 to a suite. The grounds activities were wonderful our 14 year old son loved the skeet shooting and the whole family had a great time with the falconry walk. The most spectacular part of this hotel however was the service. From Mike who helped with our bags to Denis in the Earl of Thomund restaurant and everyone in between they were outstanding professionals who made our visit absolutely perfect!” August 12th 2012.
“Gorgeous Ireland”.
“Dromoland Castle is everything that Ireland is advertised to be. It is green and lush. We had a gigantic Executive Suite that had all of the amenities that any 5-start hotel would have. We scheduled several activities that went off without a hitch. We had a private car take us to the Cliffs of Moher. Our driver was punctual, we told us about the area and the Cliffs as he took us in a clean little BMW to the area. The hotel packed us a picnic lunch with enough food for several people (we were 2) and wine. Far better than stopping to "grab a bite." We both had spa treatments that were delightful. We ate one evening at the Earl of Thomond. We found both the service and the food a little inconsistent, but it was easy to overlook. Breakfasts were good. Lots of selection. The hours (7a-10a) are a little short. If you are a early riser or a late sleeper, you just might miss it. We had a marvelous experience at the School of Falconry. I highly recommend it. Our guide, Jim, was infoRmative and easy to talk to. Being so close to such gorgeous birds was amazing. All of the staff were friendly and informative. Highly recommend”. August 9th 2012
“Our Castle”.
We stayed here for our 30th anniversary, recommendation from a friend. All first class, but it was the gardens that really took my breath away. I would have liked to stay and linger a long time on the grounds. We will go back to do that. August 8th 2012.
“Once in a Lifetime.”.
“We hired a car from Shannon airport to get to the hotel, the pictures do the hotel justice, It is a beautiful location and hotel. We stayed in the deluxe room, which was a large size with large bathroom, close to a suite size if anything, We dined in the Earl of Thomond and the gallery. The gallery has most of the same menu as the earl and strangely faster service! The only downside is you are eating at a sofa or chair and get a room service charge automatically added. The Earl service started impeccably, it is fine dining and the food was excellent. We had some issues with the waitress who took over the end of our meal, including a billing mixup (however the management addressed in our favour). The breakfast food and service was fantastic. My family would return here in a heartbeat” July 30th 2012.
“Felt like Royalty”.
“We stayed in Dromoland for three nights - and wished we were there for three weeks. Our room was beautiful and quite large, the service was attentive and professional, the grounds are breathtaking. Be sure to take the tour of the grounds in Sean's horsedrawn carriage, it is a an absolute must. Sean is a natural storyteller and very informative. Afternoon tea in the drawing room is also a must. I can't say enough about this incredible property. Our stay was perfect.” July 25th 2012.
