I am honoured to have “inherited the mantle” of Captain of Dromoland Golf Club for the forthcoming year and I very much appreciate the trust shown in me. I will do my utmost to carry out the duties of Captain bestowed on me to the highest standards.
I extend the warmest of welcomes to guests and visitors to the Dromoland Golf Club (Parkland Course of 2018). I trust that you will enjoy your visit and that you will return to see us again. Once you have visited or played our wonderful golf facility a return visit is a must.
On your drive into the estate you turn the corner at the 7th green – “the Dromoland Experience” unfolds right there in front of your eyes, there is a temptation to abandon the car and take up the camera to capture the magical lake with the majestic castle in the background and that is only the beginning. After your journey, you can loosen up in preparation for your golf in our Golf Academy. The golf course offers many challenges and to play here is most rewarding. The signature Hole Seven will have you reaching for the camera once more. To complete your visit a treat in the Fig Tree restaurant is well deserved.
As a former Limerick man (now an adopted Clare man) I will sign off by quoting a line from that famous song – I hope it captures your experience, “The beauty that surrounds us I will take it with me wherever I go.”
